About Cheryl Canfield
My journey to inspire children to learn started in my teens this catapulted me into pursuing a degree in education.
My college education took place at University of Texas in Edinburg where I graduated with a Bachelors in Education and a minor in Math. I recently retired from teaching in public schools May 2019 with a grad total of 26 years.I finished my last 12 years teaching Elementary Gifted and Talented students at Round Rock ISD. I took a year off and then stepped into teaching third graders at Round Rock Christian Academy for 2 years.
In my free time I like to read, camp, hike and garden just to name a few past time events I participate in.

It involves giving children opportunities to think critically, reason through problems and situations, and develop flexible thinking skills.

When children are provided with opportunities to explore, make, create, and design across various subjects from a young age, their imaginations know no bounds. This fosters boundless creativity and problem-solving abilities.
